Branch Manager

Location: Mankato, MN

Job Summary: The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our branch operations, including managing a team of sales and driver/warehouse individuals. At ABS, we believe in the power of teamwork. As a working manager, you will lead by example and actively participate in day-to-day operations alongside your team. Your strong work ethic and positive attitude will set the standard for excellence within our organization.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: Two to three years of management experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient Computer Skills
  • Communication Skills- Ability to talk with and listen to people in a tactful, congenial, and personal manner.
  • Good organizational skills with ability to complete tasks in a given time frame.

Job Duties:

  • Operations
    • Manage daily operations, especially customer service and finance activities, and make improvements as needed
    • Manage inventory including inventory levels, inventory transfers, returns and warranty claims
    • Asset management including building and fleet repairs, maintenance and cleaning
    • Ensure compliance with company and industry policies and procedures
    • Participate and contribute to company meetings as needed
  • Sales
    • Exhibit a strong knowledge of company products
    • Develop and present price quotes and proposals
    • Assist sales personnel with locating and qualifying new accounts
    • Resolve customer issues and disputes in a professional manner
    • Make customer sales calls as necessary
    • Represent the company in a professional manner at customer appreciation events, car shows, open houses, training events, etc.
  • Finance and Administration
    • Manage accounts receivable including accurate invoicing and assistance with collections
    • Manage expenses and payroll effectively and within budget
    • Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Coordinate hiring decisions with HR manager
    • Manage all aspects of employee engagement including training, PTO requests, safety, workers compensation, and team building

Special Requirements:

  • Special Requirements
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs. including bulky items such as windshields and fenders
  • ABS uniform shirt is required
  • Attendance at training when provided
  • Occasional evening and weekend hours
  • Will handle paints and solvents
  • Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical exam to be considered for employment and will be subject to future random drug testing.

 

 

Customer Service Representative / Paint Mixing

Location: Mitchell, SD

Job Summary: The Customer Service Rep/Paint Mixer is responsible for promoting ABS products by greeting customers, answering questions and processing orders in a professional manner.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: One year of Customer Service or Inside Sales experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Basic Computer Knowledge
  • Communication Skills- Ability to talk with and listen to people in a tactful, congenial, and personal manner.
  • Good organizational skills with ability to complete tasks in a given time frame.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assist walk-in and phone customers
  • Parts lookup and sourcing
  • Compile and finalize orders
  • Straighten and Restock showroom shelves
  • Assist in pulling sold orders and bringing them to route vans
  • Participate in company meetings
  • Assist co-workers with driving/warehouse and paint mixing

Special Requirements:

Applicants/employees must pass a pre-employment physical exam, drug screen and background check to be considered for employment and will be subject to future random drug testing.  Be able to lift 50 lbs. and large bulky items such as windshields and fenders. ABS employees are required to wear company shirts.
